More than a getaway.
Join Emily and Joanna for an adventurous and grounding ocean retreat at Mizata in El Salvador.
We're not just heading somewhere beautiful to escape — though Mizata is genuinely stunning. This retreat is an invitation to slow down enough to actually feel what's here. To move with intention, to breathe all the way through, and to make real space for joy, rest, and whatever wants to emerge when you stop rushing.
That's what we care about at our studio, and it's what we're bringing to El Salvador.

What to Expect
Yoga & Meditation
We’ll have 2 offerings each day: one vinyasa class and one grounding option. The grounding variations we’ll offer could be meditation, restorative yoga, sound bath, & breath work depending on the energy needed in the moment.
Nourishing Meals
3 meals per day, prepared fresh and made to order, are included in your stay. The restaurant on site is open from 7 AM to 8 PM (this is last call to place an order, not restaurant closing). Anything ordered outside of the three meals per day will be an additional cost. View a sample menu here.
Adventure
As a group we’ll have access to the entire property which includes oceanfront pools and dining, ocean air yoga shalas, outdoor jungle gym, sauna & cold plunge, and walks along a private beach.

Sample Schedule
6:30 am — Sunrise free time. Catch the light, journal, or ease in gently. Coffee and tea are ready for you.
7 - 9:00 am — Breakfast. Nourishing and unhurried. Eat at your own pace, together or solo.
9:30 am — Morning movement. Yoga, breathwork, or meditation led by Emily or Joanna, shaped by the group. Could be slow and grounding, could be energizing. We'll rotate which form is offered in the morning and evening so you can choose to skip if you’d like.
10:30 am — Morning adventure block. Rotating experiences: puppy sanctuary visit, beach walk, outdoor jungle gym, cold plunge & sauna, or free exploration time.
1:00 pm — Lunch. Afternoon meal, then the day opens wide.
2:00 pm — Rest & play. Pool time, cabanas, day beds, a nap, a walk — this is your time. Nothing scheduled, nothing expected.
5:30 pm — Afternoon session. A second movement or meditation practice as the heat of the day softens. Slower, more restorative, led by Emily or Joanna.
7:00 pm — Dinner & evening. Gather around the table, stargazing, campfire, or early sleep. You decide.
This is a sample, not a fixed itinerary. Some mornings may start slower. Some evenings may run later. We'll move together as a group and always leave room to breathe.

Retreat Reviews
As a business owner who is always leading the way, making decisions, and holding space for other people, it meant the world to me to have a space where I could just "be". Emily and Joanna are an excellent team and strike the perfect balance of giving you activities to participate in while also allowing you to choose your own adventure and just do nothing - no judgement.
— Sarah W.
I really got more than I expected out of it (and I already had high expectations) and felt rejuvenated in a way I didn't expect. I felt like I was able to slow down in a way I am not normally able to and really listen to what I wanted to spend time doing, rather than what was expected of me or what I should be doing.
— Jordan F.
I loved the balance of pushing myself through the hike and outdoor yoga, while also having space to relax and release. Everything felt thoughtfully planned. The pre-retreat emails with the itinerary and packing list made getting there and settling in feel effortless, so I could fully be present and enjoy the weekend.

El Salvador has made significant strides in safety in recent years and has become an increasingly popular destination for international travelers. Our retreat venue is located in a secure, tranquil setting. We'll provide you with practical safety tips and local guidance before arrival. As with any international travel, we recommend exercising normal caution and staying aware of your surroundings.
-
El Salvador uses the US dollar (USD), which makes budgeting very straightforward for American guests. Credit and debit cards are accepted in most hotels and larger establishments, but we recommend bringing some cash for tips, local markets, and smaller vendors near the retreat.
